The new application “Mit Erfolg zum Zertifikat Deutsch” is a very useful tool preparing to the ZD examination. The course consists of two major parts. The first part is a collection of over 1,000 exercises and tests set up according to the exam parts:

• Leseverstehen,
• Sprachbausteine,
• Horverstehen,
• Schriftlicher Ausdruck,
• Mundliche Prufung.

The other part, which is an examination part, enables you to assess your knowledge at any time to see how well you are prepared to take the exam. It gives you an opportunity to check yourself in six exam simulations. The simulations include typical ZD exam questions to be answered within a time limit. The material is based on a series of publications by Ernst Klett Sprachen GmbH.

The course is one of the firsts published with the new version of the SuperMemo application, named SuperMemo UX. For pronunciation practice, a new pronunciation trainer application has been added.
The new SuperMemo UX
The features of the SuperMemo UX (User eXperience) are:

• a smartly designed, intuitive and easy-to-use interface
• new types of exercises prepared especially for language courses
• management of material (including or excluding information from repetitions)
• a transparent presentation of the study plan and progress
• management of multiple users (a single installation makes the application available for many users without the need to copy the courses)
• automatic on-line upgrade of both the application and course material.

Pronunciation trainer - You Can Say It!
This application allows you to improve your pronunciation studying on your own. You record yourself after you hear the native speaker’s recording. Your recording is then analysed by the application in terms of stress, intonation, rhythm and other important articulatory parameters. Apart from the automatic assessment, information about the correctness of the recording is also provided by amplitude graphs and spectrograms.
The material is based on a series by Hubert Eichheim and Gunther Storch, published by Ernst Klett Sprachen GmbH.
